The initiator and leader of the Rapla film festival is Katrin Klaebo. However, he did not achieve his goal alone. Klaebo contacted Tiina Loki, head of PÖFF, who took hold of the fresh idea. However, the experienced film festival organizer lent his helping hand on the condition that the event would not remain a one-time event, but would become a tradition. With his guidance and multifaceted support, the Rapla Women’s Nights Film Festival has come to fruition and has survived until now.

NÖFF is a partner festival of the Dark Nights Film Festival and PÖFF head Tiina Lokk is a patron of NÖFF.

The Dark Nights Film Festival, founded in 1997, is one of the largest film festivals in Northern Europe, being one of the 15 festivals in the world with an A-category competition program recognized by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF). The program of the festival includes over 200 feature-length and almost 300 short and animated films, which in recent years have gathered 80,000 visitors and brought more than 300 foreign film characters to Tallinn.
